With fractured lines, Anish Kapoor's Sky Mirror captures on one side the vibrancy of New York streets, on the other its building reaching for the stars. An easy piece for a city enamoured with itself, and that the Public Art Fund could endorse, and that came with a recognized artistic label that was garanteed to attract private sponsors.
